Arvest Bank Announces Roper Hiring

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Tammy Roper as a community development representative in Fort Smith.

Roper joins Arvest after five years at the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services and five years at the Crawford County Juvenile Office. Among other duties in those roles, Roper provided customer service to dislocated workers, assessed clients’ financial needs, and worked with families to mentor at-risk youth.

In her new role at Arvest, Roper will help develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups and entities focused on affordable housing, organizations that target low- to moderate-income (LMI) communities, and organizations that facilitate and encourage small business, among other responsibilities. She will be based out of the Arvest branch located at 5000 Rogers Ave.

“I am so excited to have Tammy join our Arvest team, said Beth Presley, marketing manager for Arvest in Fort Smith and the River Valley. “With her community knowledge and willingness to help people, I am confident we will accomplish our goals of helping our customers and community to meet their financial goals.”

Roper earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she also played basketball. She lives in Fort Smith with her husband and two daughters, and the family attends House of Restoration Church. Among other civic endeavors, Roper volunteers for Girls Inc., Comprehensive Juvenile Services Inc., and has coached various girls basketball teams.
